Complete Skincare (night routine) Skinfood Gold Carviar Toner, Serum, Cream Review
Finally have used all these products enough for a review! Oh my Skinfood, you never disappoint me! You all know I was obsessed with Korean cosmetics/skincare after going to Seoul twice last year and swear by the Skinfood Agave Cactus Cream (Hydrating). Thus I ordered the entire set of winter skincare from Skinfood to try. I have to scream: my skin has never been in such good conditions before!
The reason why I chose to pick the Gold Caviar line to try is because the gold packaging makes my happy *superficial* and it is the most expensive Skinfood skincare line so it gotta be good. Just kidding!!!- this line is made for pre-aging meaning the products tend to be more moisturizing, which is the step up I need from the Agave line. Checking out what I was using before :)
First thing first -
^ Gold Caviar Toner
You all know I am all about cheap cleansers and toner is the first step I apply after I cleanse away all the makeup/dirt on my face every night.
What it does: A gratifying toner formulated with visible pure gold, softens the skin, and with Russian caviar, counters wrinkles and fortifies, nourishes, and firms up the skin.
Comments: It does a good job firming and moisturizing the skin. The texture is a lot "thicker" than a lot of liquid toners yet it is very easy to absorb. Since it is so thick, I can have time to give my face a message when applying. It is super fancy to see actual gold flicks in the toner *roll eyed superficial face. However, this product does not stand out as much as other product and I miss the cleaning power I could get from other "thinner" toners.
Suitable for: Everyone but not oily skin typeRepurchase: Maybe
^ Gold Carviar Serum
What it does: The anti-aging action of the caviar extract and gold in this comprehensive-care serum helps counter wrinkles and moisten, nourish, firm up, and fortify skin.
Comments: I get compliments in person saying "I have no pores" It's a weird compliment but I guess it is a good thing-_-. It really does what it claims and I wholeheartedly believe this is what makes my skin condition changes. Very light yet super moisturizing. It locks and seals up all my pores and gives an instant lift to my face. It does not give unnecessary oil to my oily T-zone yet gives me that extra nourishment I need for the season. I use 2 pumps for the entire face and neck.
Suitable for: Everyone Including oily skin type
Repurchase: Definitely
Repurchase: Definitely
^ Gold Caviar Cream
What it does: Moisturizing cream contain Gold caviar extracts for nourish, Anti-aging and firm skin from within.
Comments: As expected, this "chewy" gel cream is even more moisturizing then the Agave Cactus Cream which I used over my summer air-conditioned nights. Compared to the Agave Cactus Cream, the texture is similar but has a slight hint of oil, which firms and nourishs skin rather than making it oily. The elasticity of this cream makes this a good stretch for massaging. This is one of those amazing creams that once applied you can tell the moisture is locked up and stayed in. A little goes a long way. Definitely the best cream I have try saving me back from the New England drought.
Suitable for: Everything especially dry skintype
Repurchase: Definitely
*Skinfood also just announced an upgrade version of this called Gold Caviar Collagen Cream and will for sure give that a try next winter.
^ Salmon Brightening Eye Massage Serum
What it does: Designed with a relaxing massage tip, it intensifies blood circulation on eye area and enables faster absorption of omega-3 fatty acid, arbutin and vitamins.
Comments: All the Gold Caviar eye products were sold out thus I gave this a try since I have wanted a massage tool for my eyes (yes no need to point out my ridiculous eye bags and dark circles) and I have been loving the Salmon eye concealer. Disappointing enough, the massage tip is nothing special than a diagonal convex surface. Despite the serum itself is a great texture for massaging, I do not see anything special about this besides being a message gel. It meant to intensifies blood circulation but for some reason every time after I used the rolling tip to apply this, my double eyelids would dissappear the next morning. wtf right?
Suitable for: Brats who want to dump money down the drain
Repurchase: Hell NO! I think those drug store roller ball eye gels would be 100 times better and half the price.

Here you go. Simple enough right? I honestly believe having good skin should be simple. 2 most important things: Clean right and moisturize right. Check out bonjourhk.com for the best prices for these stuff (or should I say anything :P) I hope you enjoyed reading! I assume it would be boring for some of you but hopefully be helpful to those who are interested in Skinfood skincare products because they are the sh*t!!
What are your winter skincare products? Care to share it with me? <3

Innocent face?
Myth: Ulzzang wanna be *vain
Truth: Just wanted to use up my Bobbi Brown Longwear Eyeliner in Black Ink
Super elongated straight down eyeliner + lower eyeliner smudges on the outer corners
= purposely makes eyes droopy to look innocent wtf
See what I mean? So innocent! (wearing Geo Angel Grey here)
K I am going to vomit my lungs out now-_-
I think at least it doesn't make me look as bitchy as having cateyes. What do you think? I used the night portrait mode on my camera and the pictures turned out so yellow. I kinda like it tho. Oh my freaking eyebags...
Sorry for the lack of posts. I really don't have much time to sit down and blog (because I am busy eating ice cream). I was debating if I should make a post of this or not for awhile but I figured "something" is better than "nothing", right?

New hairstyle? New color?
2 out of 3 L'Oréal Professionnel release on 2011 s/s are exactly what I am aiming for when my next hair cut comes around - HELP ME CHOOSE!
1) Short Irregular Bob
Almond chocolate color - Coupled with geometric shaped multiple streaked purple and brown highlights to create the sense of dark hair.
2) Long Hair with Bangs Straight Across Bangs
Vanilla chocolate color - Together with subtle lighter brown highlights to intensify the look
Similar to my mushroom hair I had about a year ago.
3) Ultra Curly Hair
Sugary almond milk color - Complimented with light brown to gold highlights.
I simply do not think this is possible for me to maintain my hair this way but the picture look SO cute. Too bad I am not cute wtf.
Little bit about my hair:
Without & With flash
I wanna dye it :
I was about to dye it reddish brown but I always prefer golden/ashier brown for spring or summer. It just feels lighter and goes better with the summery stuff I wear.
I wanna cut it :
It's after I washed it before I went to bed last night and all tangled up, especially the ends. Too much split ends and too dry to manage every morning -_- Unless I do a major hair cut to trim away all the damaged hair from the last 5 years, I don't think my hair would ever be healthy. But I do love the feeling of having super long hair. I am a boy inside and no doubt having long hair makes me feel more feminine for my gender wtf.
What do you all think? 1 or 2?

Pink kissable lips for Valentines/Single Awareness Day
I am late but I don't really give a damn. Not to sound cynical or anything but I personally think that Valentines Day is most commercial manufactured day to imitate love. Thanks to the media everyone thinks that something special needs to be done that day. Flowers need to be overpriced, restaurants need to be overbooked. As shallow as it, I was once like that - receiving expensive purses, eating out at the fanciest restaurants, expecting a full day rundown of activities. Maybe I am just seriously getting old and losing my charm wtf, I really haven't done anything really special over the past valentines days in years. Don't take me wrong, I am sincerely happy to see couples celebrating their "special" day. At least it is just not for me anymore. If you have loved the right person, everyday is your Valentine's Day, isn't it?
Coincidentally I saw these amazing photos on Cosmogirl and was inspired to pull of this look of pink lips to fit into this Valentine's theme - sarcastic enough? Nah, its spring sakura blossom, depends on how you interpret it.
The more I talk about it the deeper gap of controversy I think I am falling into, so shut up and post:
I wear this look quite often. Simple no elongated eyeliner, minimal blush and eyeshadow. A pop of lip color to wrap up and brighten the whole look。That's the easiest! What do you think? Do you use bright pink lipsticks too?

The 2 days that were gone by the quickest... NYC
Hi Dolls! How was life sans me? I was just escaping from you all for participating my cny giveaway wtf - Just Kidding! I took 2 days off from work this week to meet up with my best friend Gigi from Hong Kong. She is not my blood sister but she is to me. She has the coolest job working for Cathay Pacific and New York City was her stop this week. It was her 1st time to NYC so we did a bunch of touristy stuff. Stay tuned and you'll see.
450 E 29th street
New York, NY 10016
New York, NY 10016
The first night I went was the last day of New York Restaurant Week (I had never tried!). If you're wondering what Restaurant Week is - it's basically two weeks in a lot of American cities that a lot of restaurant would have a discounted price for people cheap/poor like me who usually won't splurge out that much on food to try out many regular items on the menus. I figured I could seize this opportunity to take pictures of myself to look like I DO have friends to celebrate birthdays with-_-
It's because we are always apart and I never get to celebrate with her (or anyone in general fml) To PRE-celebrate my birthday (which is actually in March lol), I bought my own candle wtf.

Ok - now my birthday celebration is done. Gigi was so tired so we went back to the hotel and passed out. The next day we did the most touristy activity ever - Visit the Statue of Liberty! which is fine because I have never been either (How American am I right?)
"This looks like a prison!" said Gigi. |
We are at this subway station and OMG it's SO gross. All nyc metro stops are pretty gross and smelly and ghetto to begin with but this one is Ultra gross. It looks more like BioHazard - the online game where zombies jump out to suck your blood wtf. The whole time Gigi who is so used to her efficient clean mtr of Hong Kong was in a crying voice "Where are we? Why are we here? What is this place?" Of course we laughed it off later. See told you. That's why taking cabs is much more of a better choice when rendering around the city.
It was really fun! Despite the fact that it was 0"F (-15"c) and so windy outside. I also like how the best picture of us taken by another tourist is this one with the face of the Statue got chopped off...-_-''
Times Square is also as pretty as always. Time for touristy shotss! It was freezing so I took her to eat warm Korean spicy soup with everything inside (***PLEASE tell me what it's called!!) Ramen, veggie, sausages, rice cake, pasta, tofu, pork...
It was amazing but definitely challenging for our HKese taste buds. We secretly poured half of the tab water in and it was still SO spicy. I think we spent no less then 1.5 hour to finish eating lol. The next day we kicked off the day with eating again. Dear all fat pigs, ready to drool?
Balthazar is a French restaurant that offers one of the best seafood platters in the city. Located in Soho, it was a perfect lunch before we walked all our fat off by shopping :) Le Grand - Plateaux De Fruits De Mer, the smaller seafood platter is HUGE! We had to stand up just to take a picture.. which was kinda awkward in such tight spaced French restaurant. Not to mention Gigi and I are both shell seafood lovers. This combo of oysters, little neck clams, raw scallops, razor clams, cocktail shrimp, crab mayonnaise, octopus salad was Oh So Perfect!
Shopping from day to night, Soho to Fifth Avenue. I didn't buy anything tho (whoa, what a good kid!?)
Dinner at Ktown again. Yes I have no life I just love Korean food so much I can eat it everyday.
Bye babygirl. See you next time, in LA maybe?
How is everyone's life been? Update me update me!! I want details!
